With all the new features we got since the release of FileMaker 12, calculations are now everywhere. With not only fields, but also privilege sets, conditional formatting rules, hide conditions, script triggers, button bar button names, custom menus, and tooltips, you can easily happen asking FileMaker to evaluate thousands of calculation formulas just to display a single layout. Is that worth a little bit of optimization?
